Sister-Owned Gem in Miami: The Story Behind UmaLu Vintage

Miami’s vintage fashion scene just wouldn’t be the same without UmaLu Vintage, a sister-owned boutique that has become a go-to destination for rare designer finds and expert styling. What began in 2015 as an Instagram shop run by two teenage sisters has grown into a thriving business—styling your favorite celebrities, offering timeless pieces to fashion lovers, and operating their own storefront on Biscayne Boulevard.

UmaLu Vintage was founded in 2015 by sisters Uma and Luca when they were just 16 and 13 years old. Growing up surrounded by fashion and music—with their dad as a DJ/producer and their mom owning Fly Boutique, a well-known vintage store in Miami—they were destined to make their mark in the industry. Ten years later, what started as an Instagram shop selling vintage designer pieces has grown into a thriving business with over 23,000 Instagram followers, a storefront on Biscayne Boulevard, and a client list that includes artists and media personalities like Kali Uchis, Ice Spice, Cardi B, and Alix Earle.

UmaLu Vintage specializes in vintage archival designer pieces from Roberto Cavalli, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Jean Paul Gaultier, and many more. Beyond selling, buying, consigning, and styling, they also offer rentals for these one-of-a-kind pieces, with prices ranging from $50 to $500 for runway collectibles.

When you step into their store located on 7648 Biscayne Blvd in Miami, you’ll be greeted by not only their incredible pieces but also their welcoming personalities, the one-of-a-kind decor, and Papa Bear, Luca’s puppy dachshund. A shoe wall filled with Manolo Blanik’s, Prada’s and Chanel’s, a rotating hanger, and a section filled with vintage Fendi baguettes and Dior saddle bags is every girl’s dream. What makes it even better are the dressing rooms, lined with cheetah print and framed by velvet burnt orange curtains that perfectly match the plush couch at the center of the store.

Having known Uma and Luca since middle school, I’ve witnessed the incredible love and passion they’ve poured into UmaLu Vintage. It’s been exciting to see how the business has evolved, and I can’t wait to see where they go next. Uma and Luca’s long-term vision is to expand globally and create a space where stylists can grow. Whether you’re shopping for a special event or simply have a love for fashion, UmaLu Vintage in Miami is definitely worth a visit.
